The Bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of an energy-efficient single-family house in Vranovice. The first part of the thesis presents architectural and structural design. The house has two floors, a rectangular plan and a gable-to-gable roof. There is also a separate garage with an extensive green roof on the plot. There is a living room with a dining area and a kitchen, a bathroom, a utility room, and a pantry on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms, a study, and a bathroom on the first floor. The building is founded on plain concrete strip foundations. Both load-bearing and non-bearing walls are made of ceramic blocks. External walls are insulated with mineral wool ETICS. The floor slab above the first floor is of cast-in-place reinforced concrete construction, while the structure below the unheated attic is a timber beam floor. The windows are plastic with triple-glazing. The external doors are plastic as well. The second part of the thesis presents a design of building services. My focus is on sanitary technical installations. The house is heated by an air-to-water heat pump. The water for heating system is heated and stored in an accumulation tank. The domestic hot water is stored in storage tank, which is integrated in an accumulation tank. Heat is distributed to a living room, a dining room, the bedrooms, the bathrooms and a study, using underfloor heating. Wastewater is discharged into a combined sewerage system. Fresh air is supplied to the house by an air handling unit with heat recovery. Stormwater is accumulated in the storage tank, and it is used to irrigate the garden. Excess water is drained into an infiltration tank and soaked into the soil. Building was classified as A according to energy performance certificate, with means the best possible efficiency.
