Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the energy assessment of the wastewater treatment process and the possibilities of increasing its energy efficiency and self-sufficiency in view of the new requirements of European legislation. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the current requirements for urban wastewater treatment in the Czech Republic in connection with Directive (EU) 2024/3019 of the European Parliament and of the Council. It introduces requirements for energy neutrality and self-sufficiency and also tightens the limits for the discharge of treated wastewater. Furthermore, energy-intensive processes, methods of assessing the energy efficiency of treatment plants and reference values for specific consumption resulting from benchmark studies are described.
The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the operation of the wastewater treatment plant in the city of Adamov. It includes an assessment of the hydraulic and material load, an evaluation of the energy balance, an assessment of the overall technological state of the treatment plant and the identification of the most energy-intensive equipment. Finally, suitable measures are proposed to improve the energy intensity of the treatment plant and the energy efficiency of the treatment processes.

V úvodu obhajoby studentka přednesla hlavní teze své bakalářské práce. Byly přečteny posudky vedoucího práce a oponenta.
