Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis explores the potential use of foam ceramics as an alternative to traditional masonry units. The theoretical section summarizes the current state of knowledge regarding the production of ceramic foams and, based on this, proposes a process utilizing standard brick-making raw materials. In the practical section, a laboratory verification of this process is conducted, which included optimizing the liquefaction of the clay slurry using chemical additives and testing various methods of introducing foam into the mixture. Changes in the physical and mechanical properties of the produced samples are monitored depending on their composition, with a particular focus on bulk density, compressive strength, and thermal insulation properties. The thesis also includes an evaluation of the achieved results in terms of practical applicability in the construction industry and an assessment of the economic and environmental aspects of the proposed production.

Student představil komisi formou prezentace svoji bakalářskou práci a reagoval na připomínky a dotazy od oponenta vyjádřené v oponentském posudku i na otázky členů komise. Během obhajoby položili členové komise následující otázky: Ing. Aleš Jakubík, Ph.D. – Je čas míchání důležitý? Ing. Pavla Matulová, Ph.D. – Kritický bod je ve stabilizaci pěny? Je to tak? prof. Ing. Rudolf Hela, CSc. – Zkoušel jste různé pěny? Zkoušel jste nějaké zkoušky na pěnách? Student velmi dobře reagoval na připomínky oponenta a snažil se zdůvodnit nevržená a použitá řešení. Rovněž na připomínky členů komise reagoval velmi dobře.
