Abstract:

This Master’s thesis focuses on modern methods of spatial data visualization in web cartography. The aim is to analyse selected visualization methods, propose their effective implementation, and verify it in a web map application. The thesis focuses on user experience, work with a 2D map, a 3D scene, point data, and a raster layer representing the SVF parameter. It includes user and performance testing of the application. The results show that a 2D map is the most suitable solution for data analysis, while the 3D scene mainly has a supporting role in spatial interpretation. The thesis formulates recommendations for the appropriate combination of visualization methods in web map applications.

Student představil komisi formou prezentace svoji diplomovou práci a reagoval na připomínky a dotazy oponenta vyjádřené v oponentském posudku i na otázky členů komise. Během obhajoby položili členové komise následující otázky: Prof. Rybanský se zeptal na využití umělé inteligence a na výběr respondentů. Doc. Bartoněk se zeptal na tvorbu skriptů v ArcGIS a na délku načítání 3D mapy. Na každou z těchto otázek student reagoval velmi dobře.
