Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis presents the design and structural analysis of the load-bearing reinforced concrete structure of a new zoo entrance gate. The dominant elements are a locally supported roof slab with a green roof, an elliptical wall, and slender circular columns. The thesis includes the determination of loads, comparison of 2D and 3D models, and the calculation of internal forces in the SCIA Engineer software. This is followed by a detailed design and reinforcement assessment of the key elements for ultimate and serviceability limit states.
