Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses organic micropollutants in water resources and the
methods for their removal. It describes pharmaceuticals and personal care products,
pesticides, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The reader is introduced to the
description, definition, sources, transport pathways in water, and the risks associated with
these chemical compounds. Subsequently, methods for their removal from drinking
water sources are outlined. In the practical part of the thesis, an evaluation of the
concentrations of selected micropollutants at an unnamed water treatment plant is
conducted, along with the efficiency of their removal.

V úvodu obhajoby student přednesl hlavní teze své bakalářské práce. Byly přečteny posudky vedoucího práce a oponenta. Student zodpověděl připomínky obsažené v posudcích. Následně proběhla diskuze k bakalářské práci, při níž členové komise položili následující dotazy: 1) Objevila se záporná hodnota zmiňovaná v posudku oponenta historicky jenom jednou? Na základě čeho jste posoudil, že to bylo způsobeno desorpcí? 2) Co bylo za zdroj vody? Pro jakou oblast? 3) Jaké byly zdroje polutantů? Odkud se tyto látky do vody dostaly? 4) Co se potom dělá s aktivním uhlím, když se dospěje k závěru, že je vyčerpaná jeho kapacita? Student reagoval výborně.
