Abstract:

In my bachelor’s thesis, I explore the topic of human inner experiences, which include pain, fear, hatred, and apathy. I chose this topic because I am currently going through a turning point myself—something like an existential crisis—and I am constantly plagued by various thoughts. This project illustrates what is known as a split personality, where a person’s soul is home to bright dreams and the burden of the past, which prevents them from finding harmony with themselves.
I want to show the interaction between the light and dark sides of the personality, which ultimately find a balance with one another. No matter what happens in life, the burden of the past gradually leaves us over time, whether under the influence of a series of events or through self-reflection. In this work, I use digital photography to visualize what cannot be seen a priori with one’s own eyes, but can only be felt within oneself.

Studentka preferuje nejdříve přednést svoji obhajobu. Následně jsou přečteny posudky vedoucí a oponenta a otázky k rozpravě. Studentka následně reagovala na otázky oponenta ohledně osobní roviny projektu. Studentka popisuje své stanovisko a záměry a rovněž se vymezuje vůči odkazu na subkultury. Komise se dotazuje na míru zatemnění instalace. Studentka popisuje zdůvodnění světelné situace v instalaci. Komise dává studentce množství možných referenčních zdrojů a také uvažuje nad mírou zatemnění instalace, přičemž přítmí vnímá spíše jako útulné než znepokojivé. Komise se dotazuje, zda práce splnila studentčina očekávání. Studentka popisuje, že práce pro ni měla terapeutický efekt. Komise se dále táže na možnost zobecnění práce, studentka objasňuje svůj záměr. Komise dále debatuje o tématu retro a nostalgie v práci studentky. Předseda komise ukončuje debatu po uplynutí časového limitu.
