The bachelor’s thesis titled "What I Found in My Pockets" explores a series of paintings that, through personal experiences, memories, and everyday situations, explore the possibilities of painting as a means of seeking, perceiving, and shaping meaning.

The aim of the thesis is to create a collection of paintings capable of communicating independently while also articulating the principles of my own thinking about painting, which may be beneficial even beyond the scope of individual experience.

The individual paintings are created by collecting small moments, which are then assembled into new contexts where meaning arises primarily from their relationships to one another.

The work focuses on the tension between individual elements of the image, particularly between the everyday and the extraordinary, intimacy and vulgarity, humor and seriousness, or nature and civilization, and on the ways in which these opposites are transformed into open metaphors through reduction and the work with memory.

The documentation of the bachelor’s thesis reflects the artist’s own creative process in terms of working with memory, sources (experienced vs. seen), reduction, and the degree of openness of the image. An important role is played by the question of authenticity, the relationship between the sketch, the photograph, and the resulting painting, and the search for a balance between control and chance in the painting process.

The result is a series of paintings in which meaning does not arise in isolation, but in the tension between individual elements and in relation to the viewer. Here, painting does not function as an unambiguous vehicle for a message, but as an open language that activates meanings through personal experience, memory, and interpretation.
