This master's thesis deals with the comprehensive design of a control system and user interface for a three-axis Cartesian manipulator. The hardware concept is based on the SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 programmable logic controller platform and SINAMICS S210 servo drive system. A control program was developed in the TIA Portal v20 environment to ensure smooth positioning, stepping, and spatial interpolation of the axes. The control system is supplemented by a hybrid safety architecture combining hardware torque disconnection via an E-STOP button connected directly to the servo drives and the PROFIsafe protocol for controlled stopping from the control panel. The solution also includes a user interface for the SIMATIC MTP1000 Unified Basic touch panel. The functionality and logical integrity of the entire system were successfully verified using program simulation in the S7-PLCSIM tool. The result is software that has been described in detail, tested, and prepared for the physical commissioning of the machine. The work is supplemented by a detailed electrical schematic necessary for the control panel wiring.
