Abstract:

This thesis focuses on research, literature review, and experimental verification of the potential of combining current aluminum processing technologies in the context of product design. The design process is based on a material-oriented and iterative approach, without a predefined end application. Through experimentation, an original method for producing aluminum foam was developed, whose properties subsequently determined the direction of the final design. The result is a visually unconventional, freestanding functional prototype of an electric heater, characterized by the author’s proprietary aluminum foam. Its structure and properties are exceptionally well-suited for efficient heat transfer and distribution, while also demonstrating the material’s potential in the field of design.

V praktické části student prezentuje topné těleso kde aplikoval porézní hliníkové struktury-hliníkovou pěnu s cílem ověřit její možnosti v oblasti akumulace tepla a designového řešení produktu. Během obhajoby byla diskutována technologie výroby, funkční vlastnosti materiálu i jeho využitelnost v kontextu topných těles, přičemž zazněly připomínky k přesnějšímu vymezení výstupu a formy konstrukce. V diskusi byla také otevřena témata ekonomické dostupnosti, ekologických aspektů a potenciálu dalšího využití hliníkové pěny. Práce je hodnocena jako technologicky náročná a přínosná z hlediska experimentálního zpracování materiálu a jeho aplikace v designu produktu.
