This thesis focuses on the determination of measurement uncertainty, conformity assessment in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 14253-1:2023, and capability analysis pursuant to ČSN EN ISO 22514-7:2014 in the measurement of roundness and cylindricity using the Zeiss UPMC 850 Carat coordinate measuring machine. Experimental measurements were conducted on setting rings of various diameters, during which measurement uncertainties were determined and the influence of individual uncertainty components was assessed. The results demonstrated that dominant contributor to the overall uncertainty budget was the deviation uncertainty component and that the resulting measurement uncertainty increased with increasing diameter of the measured rings. The conformity assessment revealed that rings with smaller diameter exhibited better compliance with specification requirements than rings of larger dimensions. The capability evaluation indicated that the measurement system could not be classified as capable for the assessed tolerance ranges. For the purposes of calibration laboratory, an approach based on the determination of measurement uncertainty and conformity assessment was recommended as the more suitable methodology. Based on obtained results, more rigorous cleaning of measured surfaces and regular verification of measurement process stability were recommended.
