This diploma thesis deals with the determination of suitable process parameters and mechanical properties of a horizontal multimaterial interface fabricated in an overhang region. The investigated materials were the CuCr1Zr copper alloy and AISI 13Ni400 tool steel. The process parameters were optimized for sample inclination angles from 30° to 50° relative to the build platform and for both possible material configurations. Within the tested range of process parameters, the tool steel was successfully fabricated with very high relative density. In contrast, the copper alloy showed a strong dependence on the applied process parameters and sample geometry. When printing the copper alloy on the tool steel, the energy input had to be reduced with decreasing sample inclination angle, by up to 25,2–35,5% for the 30° angle. In the opposite material configuration, this strategy proved unsuitable, as lack-of-fusion defects occurred despite the more limited heat dissipation. Mechanical properties were tested for inclination angles of 30°, 45° and 60°. For the copper alloy on tool steel configuration, higher strength values were achieved at lower angles and when using optimized process parameters, specifically Rm =388 ± 86 MPa for 30° and Rm = 378 ± 75 MPa for 45°. In contrast, specimens produced with the default parameters reached Rm = 298 ± 15 MPa for 45° and Rm = 263 ± 10 MPa for 60°. For the opposite configuration, the strength values were lower and less dependent on the inclination angle, specifically Rm = 228,4 ± 0,2 MPa for 30°, 235,1 ± 1,7 MPa for 45° and 236,4 ± 2,2 MPa for 60°. The obtained findings can be used in the design of spatially shaped multimaterial components manufactured by LPBF.

Student prezentoval výsledky své diplomové práce a zodpověděl otázky oponenta: dr. Dočekalová: V kapitole 2.4 popisujete strategie spojování materiálů, volíte gradientní spojení (tj. kompatibilitu materiálů) a následně v kapitole 2.5.1 uvádíte fázový diagram Fe-Cu, který znázorňuje velmi omezenou rozpustnost.
