This master´s thesis deals with the issue of low-potential waste heat and the design of a system for its efficient application. The introduction part summarizes current waste management practices in the Czech Republic and analyses the impact of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants on the waste management sector. Furthermore, it describes waste heat recovery technologies in industry and district heating system including their practical application in the Czech Republic. The thesis defines the legislative requirements and technical standards specifying the parameters for the indoor microclimate of buildings. The analytical part evaluating the current state of a specific WtE plant operation, establishes calculation parameters, and determines the thermal balance, including the heat losses of the analysed facilities. The main section focuses on the technical design of the waste heat recovery system, incorporating an evaluation of the proposed solution and a comparison of two cooling generation methods. The appendices contain heating, cooling, and ventilation drawing for selected buildings, as well as schematic diagrams of the primary heating and ventilation technologies with heat recovery.

Student seznámil zkušební komisi s průběhem řešení, výsledky a závěry své závěrečné práce.
