This bachelor thesis deals with the engineering design, optimization, and fabrication of a cyclone separator prototype for high-temperature producer gas cleaning in biomass gasification. The analytical model was developed in MS Excel, comparing 6 cyclone geometries. The final design, based on the Stairmand geometry with a barrel diameter of Dc = 110 mm, achieves a theoretical efficiency of 97.78 % for a 10 micrometers particle size with a pressure drop of 192 Pa, thereby satisfying the 200 Pa limit. Based on a SolidWorks 3D model, the prototype was fabricated from 2 mm carbon steel sheet using laser cutting, plate rolling, and MAG welding. Finally, the dimensional and elliptical shell deformations caused by welding heat input are evaluated, and a tightness testing procedure is proposed.

Student odprezentoval obsah své bakalářské práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny následující doplňující otázky: Jak se dělí cyklóny dle směru vstupu plynu? Jaké byly vstupní parametry pro návrh cyklónu? Jaký je rychlostní profil v cyklónu? Jaká je provozní teplota zvoleného materiálu? Otázky byly zodpovězeny.
