The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the mechanical properties of the adhesive UHU Plus ENDFEST 300 using a tensile shear test and to verify its suitability for application on two base materials used in ACO Industries k.s., specifically materials 1.0037 and 1.4301. The thesis also includes a comparison with an adhesive used in the production of similar components abroad. The results of the tensile shear test showed that the adhesive UHU Plus ENDFEST 300 achieved high shear strength values for both tested materials. The highest value was measured for material 1.4301, specifically 27.3 MPa under curing conditions of 180 °C for 10 minutes, while the lowest value was recorded for material 1.0037 with a value of 22.8 MPa under curing conditions of 190 °C for 10 minutes. The results of the individual series were within a similar range, and no significant differences between the curing regimes were observed. Part of the evaluation also included an assessment of the failure type of the adhesive joint, where a predominantly mixed-mode failure, consisting of both adhesive and cohesive failure, was observed for the UHU Plus ENDFEST 300 adhesive. In comparison, the Sikaflex-11 FC Purform adhesive used abroad exhibited predominantly cohesive failure. Another part of the experimental work focused on cyclic thermal testing according to the requirements of the standard. After completing 1500 cycles of alternating exposure to hot and cold water, no failure or loss of tightness was observed in either adhesive joint. Based on the conducted tests, it was concluded that the adhesive joint is suitable for standard operational use.
