Threaded connections represent one of the most widespread elements in modern engineering practice. Their reliability is crucial for structural safety; however, under demanding operating conditions, these joints are exposed to specific influences that require distinct approaches to their production. In its literature review section, this bachelor thesis focuses on a theoretical overview of thread types, materials used, surface treatments, and manufacturing technologies with regard to various operating conditions. Subsequently, it presents a comparative analysis of manufacturing process planning for threaded connections in two distinctly different environments: the food processing industry and energy infrastructure. The theme compares the specific microbiological safety requirements of food processing machinery (utilizing AISI 316L stainless steel) with the demands placed on high-strength structural joints (class 10.9) used in high-voltage pylons, where mechanical resistance and long-term anti-corrosion protection provided by hot-dip galvanizing are the priorities. Based on real manufacturing data, the practical section documents the influence of thread machining and thread rolling on the final performance characteristics of the components, demonstrating that the choice of manufacturing parameters must align with the planned life cycle and the specific degradation mechanism of the given environment.
