This master’s thesis focuses on the stress--strain analysis of uncemented titanium femoral stems used in total hip arthroplasty. Four variants of the computational model were developed, differing in the geometry of the femoral stem used. The bone structures were reconstructed from anonymized CT data, while the cancellous bone tissue of the femur was considered as a heterogeneous material derived from the CT data. The geometrical models of the femoral stems were obtained by 3D scanning of real implants. The computational model was solved using the finite element method in Ansys® Workbench™ 2025 R2 as a static structural analysis for a loading model corresponding to single--leg stance. The evaluation included total deformation displacements, equivalent stress in the femoral stem, strain in the bone tissue, and micromotion at the stem--bone interface. The results showed that all femoral stem variants satisfied the safety assessment with respect to the elastic limit state. Based on the evaluation of bone tissue strain, variant~3 showed the most favourable response, whereas variant~2 was the most suitable in terms of micromotion. Variant~1 was evaluated as the least favourable. These conclusions must be interpreted in relation to the considered computational scenario, the material properties used, and the defined model of constraints and loading.
