This bachelor’s thesis focuses on a literature review and on the subsequent design of a Stirling engine model. A working principle and the essence of the Stirling engine are described and complemented by listing and shedding light on the fundamental engine configurations, as well as noting several applications of the Stirling engine. The topic of thermodynamic analyses of the Stirling engine is explored by means of classifying these analyses into five categories, followed by an analysis of a low-temperature-difference (LTD) gamma Stirling engine model. The output of this thesis is this model’s drawing documentation.
