This thesis presents the design, implementation, and testing of a water-based mattress temperature conditioning system aimed at enhancing user comfort and improving sleep quality. As an alternative to traditional room air conditioning, the device actively regulates user temperature through direct heating and cooling. The system utilizes Thermoelectric Coolers (TEC). The project includes the complete mechanical, electrical, and firmware development with manufacturing and testing. A prototype mattress was fabricated by routing silicone tubing through a standard foam mattress for real-world evaluation. Experimental validation confirmed the system's functionality and quiet operation. The heating mode rapidly reached target temperatures, while the cooling mode successfully lowered mattress temperatures under the user. Although peak cooling capacity was slightly limited by electrical resistance in the driver circuit and thermal resistance within the mattress, the thesis demonstrates that TEC-based conditioning is a highly viable concept for personal thermal comfort.

Při obhajobě student nejprve prezentoval svoji diplomovou práci, následně byly přečteny posudky a student odpovídal na dotazy oponenta. Poté byly členy komise položeny následující otázky: Jak vznikly požadavky na zařízení? Používáte spojitý nebo dvouhodnotový regulátor? Jaké motory používáte? Řešil jste i případný únik kapaliny? Obhajoba byla komisí hodnocena jako výborná.
