This bachelor's thesis deals with the design, modelling, and analysis of a mixing bucket equipped with a screw mixer, intended for compact tractors – specifically the Solis 26. The aim of the work is to create a virtual model of the bucket and to evaluate the mixing efficiency of bulk materials – concrete components – using the Discrete Element Method (DEM) in Altair EDEM, depending on the screw geometry. Three types of screws were designed and compared: a full screw, a ribbon screw, and a paddle screw. Contact interactions were modelled using the Hertz-Mindlin (no slip) contact model, with material parameters – Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, density, coefficient of restitution, static friction coefficient, and rolling friction coefficient – sourced from the literature for gravel–sand–cement–steel material pairs. Simulation results were evaluated by visual comparison of component distribution over time. Based on the achieved mixture homogeneity, the ribbon screw was identified as the most suitable design for the physical production of the bucket. The thesis provides a basis for the real manufacturing of the device and proposes further possible improvements.
