The objective of the thesis was to create a simulation of the current state of dispatch workstations, thereby verifying the validity of the model. In addition, a variant with an increased volume of dispatched articles was tested on the model. The model met all requirements and the effective time of operators increased by 4.27%. Subsequently, 2 possible future scenarios of consolidating workstations into individual dispatches were simulated. Dispatch workstation M proved to be inadequate due to the impossibility of expanding the workstation area. Expedition workstation B proved to be suitable because it is possible to move the neighboring workstation and thereby gain additional space. During the consolidation of workstations, a potential labor saving of up to 3 operators and one forklift was identified. The total financial savings over a two-year outlook were set at 3 475 202 CZK. At the same time, the consolidation resulted in a theoretical area savings of 434 m². Additionally, it was recommended to conduct further analysis to determine the necessity of structural modifications. The consolidation of dispatch workstations was recommended for implementation. The last simulation model was to verify the maximum monthly capacity in case of introducing a second shift. The total number of expedited items was determined by the simulation at 5 471. Introducing a second shift in the current state does not make financial sense. For further investigation, it was recommended to create additional simulation models that combine the consolidation of workstations and the introduction of a second shift.
