Abstract:

The subject of this master's thesis is an urban study of the central part of the city of Prostějov and its immediate surroundings. The aim of the work is to design a new sustainable urban structure that responds to the current urban issues of the area and enhances the quality of the urban environment.
The work is based on multi-criteria analyses and their conclusions. Based on these findings, a concept is formulated through the reinterpretation of the historical fortification line, which becomes the structuring element of the design. This principle is further developed through a green belt system, the completion of the block structure, and the strengthening of the area's permeability.
The proposal focuses on the transformation of fragmented parts of the city center, the completion of missing structures, and the cultivation of public space. The design also includes the placement of key public and cultural functions integrated into the newly defined urban structure. The result of the thesis is an urban design that strengthens the clarity of the urban structure, supports its functional interconnection, and contributes to the long-term sustainable development of the center of Prostějov.

Studentka představila svůj projekt diplomové práce na téma „Urbanistický návrh soudobé městské struktury (čtvrti) v kontextu historického města“. Popis urbanistické koncepce, funkčního a prostorového řešení působilo velmi přesvědčivě. Po přečtení posudků vedoucího práce a oponenta studentka reagovala na otázky položené oponentem. V odborné rozpravě nad obhajovanou prací komise pokládala dotazy týkající se následujících témat: - reference zelených okruhů, - nová tržnice - měřítko a důvod vložení do konkrétního místa, - historizující výraz nových objektů, - komunikace u navrhovaného divadla, - nejlepší moment v návrhu. Studentka s dokonalým přehledem zaujímala odborná stanoviska ke všem připomínkám oponenta a výborně reagovala i na všechny otázky členů komise, které byly k obhajované práci položeny.
