This thesis deals with the design of a methodology for local processing of train passage records from a stationary measurement system with MFC piezoelectric sensors mounted on the rail. The theoretical part summarizes the principles of edge computing, stationary railway infrastructure monitoring and basic signal processing methods. The work addresses the need to reduce the volume of raw time series data transmitted and to convert the measured signal directly at the measurement site into a compact and interpretable output. The proposed methodology processes two channel voltage records of train passages and relates the results to the passage as a whole as well as to individual detected axles. Axle evaluation is based on mutual comparison within a single passage without the need for reference annotations of the actual condition of wheels or axles. The result of the work is a procedure enabling the creation of a technical description of each passage, identification of axles with distinctly different signal response and reduction of data transmitted outside the measuring device.

Student obeznámil komisi s výsledky své DP. Po přečtení posudků následovaly dotazy oponenta (viz posudek) a komise: Existence metrik pro Edge computing Impulsní chování zpracovaných průjezdů. Bezpečnost konkrétních náprav. Návrh použití kamery. Studentovy reakce na dotazy, včetně diskuse k DP, se komisi velmi líbily.
