Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is an essential tool for characterizing materials at the atomic level, with specialized techniques enabling the direct observation of local magnetic configurations. Among these, Electron Magnetic Circular Dichroism (EMCD) provides nanoscale magnetic information with elemental specificity. However, the practical application of EMCD is frequently hindered by low signal-to-noise ratios and nonmagnetic background interference from sample substrates. This thesis addresses these limitations by utilizing freestanding FeRh magnetic thin films, which eliminates epitaxial strain and reduces background noise, employing dynamic-diffraction simulations to optimize sample thickness for EMCD signal detection. The study systematically evaluates two primary experimental detection strategies: the traditional beamsplitter method andvthe electron vortex beam method, testing both single- and double-acquisition workflows. Experimental results demonstrate that a double-acquisition beamsplitter approach successfully extracts clear EMCD signals at both the Fe L2 and L3 edges. In contrast, the vortex beam approach was severely restricted by electron beam drift, yielding observable spectral differences only at the L3 edge. Ultimately, while vortex beams offer a novel pathway for probing chiral transitions, the beamsplitter approach remains a more robust and reliable technique under current instrument stability constraints.
