The development of nanoscale devices based on magnetic ordering and spintronic effects increases the demand for magnetic characterization techniques. One of the promising approaches for imaging magnetic order is electron magnetic dichroism. The main challenges of this technique arise from weak dichroic signal intensity and from the limited development of the linear dichroic counterpart capable of imaging antiferromagnetic structures. This thesis aimed to develop a simulation framework for the separation of electron magnetic dichroic contributions and optimization of experimental conditions for reliable signal detection in a transmission electron microscope, followed by experimental verification of the developed approaches. FeRh was selected as a model magnetic system for both simulations and experiments. The developed framework enabled the determination of optimal measurement conditions and proposed several methods for separating circular and linear dichroic contributions. The measurements performed under the optimized conditions, demonstrated successful detection of both linear and circular dichroic signals in the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic phases of FeRh. The obtained results contribute to improving the reliability and experimental accessibility of electron magnetic dichroism measurements for nanoscale magnetic characterization.
