This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a functional prototype of a low-cost inertial measurement unit (IMU) intended for sensing the driving dynamics of a passenger vehicle. The work aims to develop a device suitable for mass deployment in a fleet of test vehicles, where the acquisition of standard industrial measuring equipment would be economically inefficient. The theoretical part addresses the principles of MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes, the characterization of their errors, and methods of digital signal processing. In the practical part, the design of hardware based on the Arduino UNO R3 platform with an MPU6050 inertial sensor, a microSD memory card, and a Nextion touch display is described. Firmware was developed for the control unit, ensuring data sampling at 50 Hz, two-phase calibration to compensate for bias, digital signal filtering, and data logging in CSV format. The functionality of the device was verified by experimental measurement in a vehicle and by comparison with a reference system. The resulting device has a component cost of approximately 800 CZK.

Student seznámil komisi s výsledky své bakalářské práce a odpověděl na otázky oponenta. Následovala diskuze k závěrečné práci a otázky komise: Zajištění stejné orientace vytvořeného a referenčního systému. Bias u měření. Zpracování signálu. Jaká byla vzorkovací frekvence. Student odpověděl na všechny otázky ke spokojenosti komise.
