This diploma thesis focuses on the design calculation of a valve used in the urea production cycle. This device is being developed in collaboration with the company CCI Czech Republic s.r.o. The valve is subjected to high temperatures and high pressure, as well as exposed to a highly corrosive medium. The valve design, which constitutes the practical part of the thesis, focuses on pressure calculations for the installation, operating and testing conditions using the ČSN EN 1591-1 and ČSN EN 12516-2 standards, and also addresses the force calculation determining the maximum external load on the valve using the ČSN EN 13480-3 standard. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a description of the urea production cycle, which includes a simple simulation of the high-pressure part of the process in the ChemCAD program; it also contains key findings related to the issue of corrosion formation upon contact with corrosive media and the subsequent selection of suitable construction materials.

Byla předvedena prezentace závěrečné práce a zodpovězeny otázky oponenta práce. Dotaz na způsob součinnosti s průmyslovým partnerem a požadavky partnera ohledně zadání práce, bylo zodpovězeno. Dotaz na význam popisovaného ventilu v procesu výroby močoviny, bylo zodpovězeno. Otázka na součinitele využívané při návrhu ventilů, bylo zodpovězeno.
