This thesis investigates the design and manufacturing of integrated electronic components from highly conductive filaments. For this goal, it utilizes desktop multi-material FDM 3D printing. This approach allows the integration of electronic functionality directly into mechanical structures, which can eliminate wiring harnesses, reduce assembly steps, and enable sensors that conform to structural shapes. The research focuses on two sensor modalities: resistive strain gauges and capacitive sensing elements, both fabricated from a copper-based filament. The integrated prototypes were co-printed with common polymers as structural substrates. The experimental work demonstrated that printed strain gauges detect deformations with high initial sensitivity. However, their response suffers from material creep and cyclic drift. Capacitive sensors, by contrast, exhibited stable and repeatable performance in a fluid-level sensing application. Furthermore, a geometric accuracy analysis revealed significant cross-sectional deviations of the printed geometries. Overall, the work demonstrates that functional integrated sensors can be produced in-house without specialized industrial equipment. The proposed workflow allows for a parametric design which not only allows conformation to various applications, but also serves as a low-cost approach to smart assemblies.

Při obhajobě student nejprve prezentoval svoji diplomovou práci, následně byly přečteny posudky a student odpovídal na dotazy oponenta. Poté byly členy komise položeny následující otázky: Řešil jste opakovatelnost experimentu? Na jaké materiály jste vzorek aplikoval? Jaký je měrný odpor tenzometru? Obhajoba byla komisí hodnocena jako výborná.
