This master’s thesis deals with the conceptual design of a steam generator for a new nuclear power source based on the reference APR1000 technology. The thesis focuses on the thermal calculation of the steam generator, the design of the heat transfer tube bundle, the determination of the basic geometrical parameters of the equipment, the structural design of selected steam generator components, and the hydraulic assessment of pressure losses on both the primary and secondary sides. The calculations are based on a simplified thermodynamic model and the operating parameters of the reference source. The design utilizes relations for heat transfer, fluid flow, and the mechanical design of pressure-retaining components according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Based on the performed calculations, a conceptual drawing of the steam generator is subsequently developed. The result of the thesis is a conceptual design of a vertical U-tube steam generator corresponding to the basic operating parameters of the considered nuclear power source. The proposed design represents an initial technical basis suitable for subsequent detailed structural design, calculations, and simulation analyses.

Student odprezentoval obsah své diplomové práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny tyto doplňující otázky: Jaký je limit vzestupné páry u cyklonového separátoru a jaké je jeho porovnání s horizontální variantou? Popište vlastní přínos a konkrétní nápady v práci. Jaké jsou příčiny vzniku odkalů? Jak byste zamezili vibracím u vyztužovacích drátů? Jaká je funkce parogenerátoru v navrženém systému? Popište výpočet součinitele přestupu tepla, požadované vlastnosti povrchu trubek a funkci spolu s počtem lamel.
