The bachelor’s thesis deals with synthetic fuels and biofuels as alternatives to fossil fuels. The aim of the thesis was to process and summarize the current state of knowledge in the field of selected synthetic fuels and biofuels. Particular attention was paid to synthetic diesel, hydrotreated vegetable oil, fatty acid methyl esters, bioethanol, synthetic methanol, dimethyl ether, synthetic methane and biomethane. The thesis includes a literature review focused on the characteristics of individual fuels, their feedstocks, and production technologies. The work also includes stoichiometric calculations carried out for representative chemical formulas of the selected fuels. Based on these calculations, the values of the lower heating value and air-fuel ratio were compared with tabulated values. The results showed that the chemical composition of a fuel significantly affects its physical, chemical, and energy properties. The thesis also points out the advantages and disadvantages of individual fuels and their possible practical applications.

Student odprezentoval obsah své bakalářské práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny tyto doplňující otázky: Porovnejte z hlediska emisí syntetickou naftu a palivo HVO. Vysvětlete váš předpoklad, proč je vypočítaná výhřevnost vyšší než tabulková hodnota.
