This bachelor’s thesis deals with the conceptual design of a hydraulic jack for passenger cars. The design focuses on achieving a low overall height, sufficient stroke length, and safe load transfer when lifting a vehicle. The introductory section describes the basic principles of hydraulic jacks, their structural layout, and the functions of their main components. It also evaluates selected parameters of passenger cars operated in the Czech Republic, particularly ground clearance, dimensional characteristics, weight, and center of gravity. These data serve as input values for the kinematic and force analysis of the proposed mechanism. The design solution utilizes a hydraulic cylinder in combination with a lever mechanism that allows switching between low and high lift modes. The bachelor’s thesis includes the design of the main structural components, strength calculations for selected components, a buckling stability check of the piston, and a numerical strength analysis of the arm. The result is a conceptual design of a hydraulic jack intended for a wide range of passenger cars, which meets the requirements for functionality, load-bearing capacity, and operational safety.
