The thesis deals with the use of gyroid structures in technical practice. Its goal is to describe the complete process of designing and producing a heat exchanger with a core created from a gyroid lattice, meaning from the first design through modelling to additive manufacturing, with the aim of successfully printing it as a means of verifying the soundness of the workflow. To reach the goal, software for parametric as well as direct modelling was used, along with artificial intelligence for comparison of modelling outcomes. Afterwards, slicing software was used to generate a printable file for the 3D printer, followed by the printing process itself. The result of the work was a digital and physical model of a heat exchanger with a gyroid core. The model was created using MATLAB for parametric modelling and Autodesk Inventor for direct modelling of the shell of the heat exchanger. Next, specific direct modelling pro- grams, Blender 4.5 and FreeCAD, were used to achieve the desired forms of the outcome. Lastly, PrusaSlicer 2.9.4 was employed to create G-code and a Prusa MK4S was used for print- ing the physical object. The thesis provides a practical description of this workflow, warns against basic mistakes and presents simple methods for avoiding them, while using fundamental principles.

Student odprezentoval obsah své bakalářské práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny následující doplňující otázky: Jak si vysvětlujete, že byl potřeba vysoký chladicí výkon? Jaké byly vstupní parametry pro návrh struktury? Jaké jsou výhody gyroidních struktur? Otázky byly zodpovězeny.
