Diploma thesis is focused on design of backpressure steam turbine for chemical plant, requiring three steam pressure levels of 60, 19 and 8 bar absolute pressure. These pressure levels need to be provided while steam inlet flow ranges from 210 to 147 t/h. Design includes thermodynamic calculations of regulative turbine stage with impulse blading and stage part with reactive blading. Stage part is made of two sections with seven and five stages separated by regulated steam bleed. Regulative and stage parts were designed with respect to strength criteria. Balancing piston, gland steam system, strength calculation of turbine casing and turbine blades were calculated and bearings were designed. Resulting calculations were used to create operational characteristics of the steam turbine based on turbine backpressure. Designed turbine has thermodynamical efficiency of 91 % and output power of 21,4 MWe. Finally, calculation results were used to create conceptional longitudinal section of the steam turbine.

Student odprezentoval obsah své diplomové práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny následující doplňující otázky. Pan Ing. Sedlák se dotázal kam je vyvedeno odvodnění ze skříně turbíny a jak by se zamezilo odchodu páry společně s kondenzátem. Otázka byla zodpovězena s pomocí.
