The subject of this Bachelor’s thesis is the design and preparation of project documentation for a kindergarten in the municipality of Bochoř, near Přerov. The design is based on an architectural study prepared within the BGA021 Architectural Design Studio, which was further modified for the purpose of this thesis.
The kindergarten building is divided into several volumes to distinguish its functions. It consists of two nearly identical volumes with gabled roofs serving as playrooms. These are connected via corridors to a facilities volume with a flat roof, where the connecting space is illuminated by a clerestory skylight. The playrooms open up to the roof truss; the first playroom is illuminated by windows on the southern and northern sides, while the second playroom is illuminated from the eastern and western sides. Photovoltaic panels are located on the gabled roof to cover electricity consumption during morning and afternoon hours.
The site is flat and bounded by two access roads on the southern and eastern sides. The building is situated in the northeastern corner of the plot. Parallel parking spaces are located on the southern side of the plot, while perpendicular parking is situated on the eastern side near the main entrance to the building. A service driveway with a separate entrance is located on the northern side. The entire site is fenced; the northern side features a concrete fence, while the remaining sides are enclosed by wire mesh fencing supplemented with greenery.
