The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design and preparation of project documentation for a new kindergarten building in the municipality of Bochoř. The work is based on the assignment received during the winter semester of the second year of study within the course BGA021 Architectural Design Studio 2.  The building is designed for the education, care, and daily stay of preschool children as part of the regular daily operation of the kindergarten. The building includes classrooms, cloakrooms, sanitary facilities, staff areas for teachers and other employees, as well as spaces for food preparation and serving, and technical rooms ensuring the operation of the building. The facility is intended for year-round use, primarily on weekdays. The layout of the building also allows for occasional use of the spaces for extracurricular and community activities of the village, particularly thanks to the multifunctional room and the after school activity area located on the second floor. The design also includes the establishment of a kindergarten garden with appropriate equipment and play elements. The goal of the design was to connect the individual functional units into a single, coherent multifunctional building, with an emphasis on the flexibility of classroom spaces. Architecturally, the kindergarten complements the existing development of the village and does not disrupt it.
