The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the design of a new Volkswagen Group car centre in Brno. The project directly follows an architectural study developed within the course BGA 026 – Architectural Design Studio 3. The objective of the thesis is to develop documentation for a building permit along with selected parts of construction documentation. The proposed building is in the Černovická terasa industrial zone, where it effectively utilizes the potential of a brownfield site and, through its massing and placement, naturally respects the character of the surrounding industrial development.

The architectural concept is based on a logical division of operations into three functional units: a representative showroom, a spare parts warehouse, and a service facility. Primary emphasis is placed on the fluidity of internal communication routes and efficient logistics for both customers and supplies. The showroom is dominated by a generous, double-height glazed space that seamlessly transitions into an administrative gallery on the second floor. The service section is designed with a priority on functional workplace layout and maximum use of daylight through ribbon windows and roof skylights.

The structural solution consists of a prefabricated steel frame, allowing for flexible use of interior spaces. A sustainable approach is represented by a green roof and the installation of photovoltaic panels, contributing to an improved microclimate and the energy efficiency of the building. The architectural expression is built on a harmonious combination of   large-format glazing and a sober facade colour scheme, achieving a unified visual style that underlines the modern industrial character of the entire facility.
