The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a new Volkswagen Group car center, located on the territory of a significant Brno brownfield No. 502 in the city district of Černovice. The project follows on from the architectural study prepared as part of the studio work BGA026 - Production Building Studio and is developed at the stage of documentation for a building permit with selected parts at the level of documentation for construction. The urban design solution respects the character of the Černovické terasy industrial zone on Švédské valy street, while using the existing flat terrain to create effective transport connections and smooth communication routes for customers and service logistics. The building concept is strictly subordinated to operational requirements with the aim of ensuring comprehensive services under one roof. The building program includes a representative sales showroom, a spare parts warehouse and a modern service facility designed for warranty and post-warranty repairs of ŠKODA, SEAT, VOLKSWAGEN and AUDI cars. The design also includes the integration of additional financial services, professional advice and the sale of accessories, which creates a comprehensive customer ecosystem. The architectural design reflects the internal operational structure through the composition of three clearly defined masses. The dominant cylindrical showroom with exclusive basilica lighting forms the representative face of the building, which is followed by a connecting corridor leading to the functionally shaped service area. The dynamics of the building are underlined by the gradation of the heights of the individual parts and the use of sawtooth skylights above the service area, which give the building an industrial character. The result is a minimalist, technically advanced building that renovates the original neglected area and offers a logical and effective layout for modern automotive traffic.
