This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the VW Group car center in Brno-Černovice, located in the Černovická terasa industrial zone. It includes a sales showroom and a car service hall, which requires a combination of function and aesthetics.
The massing clearly expresses the division into different functions and facilitates not only easy orientation but also a functional layout. The building is divided into three blocks, the largest of which is the "exhibition" showroom, which is also located closest to the street. The smallest of the blocks is the middle connecting part, which contains a warehouse and back-up facilities. The third block is a purely industrial car service hall, which is more shielded from the road.
In terms of layout, the showroom is designed as one large main space, to which the backroom facilities and offices for administration and management on the second floor are attached. The connecting section houses a warehouse, staff facilities including a break room with a kitchenette, and the building's technical facilities. The car service hall is divided into individual workstations.
The construction system of the car center consists of a combination of a steel skeleton and a reinforced concrete monolithic wall system.
