Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the architectural design and project documentation of a group of terraced houses in Brno-Líšeň. The design is based on a study developed within the studio course BGA015 – Residential Buildings Studio. The project is located on a previously undeveloped plot at the end of the cul-de-sac on Kniesova Street. The urban design respects the character of the existing terraced housing in the surrounding streets while defining a new building line parallel to the eastern boundary of the site. This arrangement, together with the southwest orientation of the private gardens, ensures a high level of privacy for future residents and optimal use of passive solar gains.

The main objective of the design is to achieve maximum spatial efficiency and user comfort within a limited buildable area. The concept demonstrates that even within compact dimensions it is possible to create fully functional housing without compromises. The overall project consists of seven terraced houses whose architectural design reflects the diverse needs of future residents. The layout design is based on the principle of vertical zoning, with an active social zone on the ground floor and a quiet private zone on the upper floor. A specific element of the design is the sixth, a single-storey, barrier-free house responding to the needs of people with reduced mobility or seniors. The northern termination of the row is formed by a multi-generational house that enables independent living of multiple generations.

The project places emphasis on the ecological and economic sustainability of operation. The proposed measures include the use of photovoltaic panels for electricity generation, rainwater retention and reuse systems, and permeable paved surfaces supporting the natural water cycle. The result is a compact, energy- efficient, and functionally diverse residential development meeting the requirements of contemporary urban living.

Studentka představila svou práci pomocí mediální prezentace. Dotaz na okna a prosklení přístup do zahrady. Rozprava nad velikostí oken a dveří. Rozprava nad fasádou a jejím odvětrávání. Dotaz na flexibilitu dispozic jednotlivých typových domů. Rozprava nad odvětráváním podhledů. Rozprava nad nikou pro popelnici v rámci domu. Výtka nad prosklením na východní stranu do ulice a sociální kontrolu. Předseda ocenil návrh řadových domů, ekonomika a úspornost. Rozprava nad "dvougeneračním" řešením.
