The subject of this bachelor thesis is the development of a structural study for a residential building complex in Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou. The design presents a modern residential complex that emphasizes efficient space utilization, comfort for future residents, and technical feasibility within the given site. The urban design respects the surrounding buildings, responding to the specific morphology of the terrain and the hydrogeological conditions of the area of interest. The urban solution is based on the terrain’s morphology and the effort to seamlessly integrate the new structures into the existing village fabric. The buildings are designed as four-story structures with a recurring floor plan, while the basement houses technical facilities, both ventilated and non-ventilated storage units, and a building management storage room. The structural system of the buildings is designed as a longitudinal load-bearing wall system made of ceramic blocks with monolithic reinforced concrete floor slabs. The basement is designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete wall system complemented by a monolithic floor slab. The thesis further elaborates on the building envelope, which is designed in accordance with current requirements for thermal protection and energy efficiency, aiming for values recommended for passive buildings. The output of the work consists of project documentation at the level of a structural study and a second set of documentation at the level of execution design, supplemented by a thermal-technical assessment of critical structures and selected construction details. The main idea of the design is to create a building that complements the character of the surrounding development and ensures that the proposed operations do not disturb the established standards of the municipality. The design aims to blend in rather than stand out, providing future residents with sufficient privacy and comfort. The building is designed with a T-shaped, asymmetrical layout and a flat roof. The ground floor includes a bicycle and stroller storage room, along with a laundry and drying room. Consequently, the number of residential units on the ground floor was reduced from the originally planned four to three, resulting in a total of 15 residential units. Each unit is assigned two storage lockers – one ventilated and one unventilated – ensuring maximum comfort for seasonal storage. Regarding ecological solutions, the design incorporates elements for environmental and economic efficiency, such as an accumulation tank, a light liquid separator, sufficient greenery for a pleasant stay, and controlled ventilation with heat recovery.
