The subject of the bachelor's thesis was to design a cold and freezing
storage warehouse for food in an agricultural brownfield area near
Jevišovka in the South Moravian Region, Czech republic. This building is an
industrial single-storey storage consisting of two prefabricated reinforced
concrete halls clad with sandwich panels. It is primarily intended for
storage operations with freezing and cooling rooms for meat, fruits, and
vegetables, along with associated technical spaces for continuous
operation and administration, as well as additional spaces for employees.
The hall will be divided into administrative, operational and storage
sections. The object is designed in a functional approach for both external
and internal spaces, incorporating architectural elements and is
distinguished by white and dark colors. Atypical photovoltaic panels are
placed on the flat roof to highlight the building. The freezing and cooling
part of the hall has an illuminated logo attached to the exterior as an
architectural detail to hint the purpose of this facility. The adjacent plot is
occupied by a photovoltaic power plant.
