This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of determining turbocharger compressor characteristics in cases where technical data from the manufacturer are unavailable. The primary objective is to develop and validate a methodological procedure for measurements on a internal-combustion engine, leading to the subsequent construction of a compressor map. The theoretical part analyzes the structural design and boost pressure control systems. The experimental phase involves data collection, which is subsequently processed and corrected to reference conditions using a dedicated algorithm. The resulting methodology serves as a basis for refining engine simulations in development software such as Lotus Engine or GTSuite. Furthermore, the thesis compares the specifics of measurements performed on an engine unit with those conducted at specialized gas stands.
