This thesis focuses on the design of a hybrid CNC machining center intended for the production of prismatic (non-rotational) components. The main objective is to develop a machine design that combines conventional subtractive machining of prismatic parts with metal additive manufacturing technology. In the first part of the thesis, a literature review is conducted, focusing on the field of conventional and hybrid machining centers as well as additive manufacturing methods. Subsequently, an analysis of the given problem is carried out, and three conceptual design variants of the machining center are proposed. Based on the evaluation results, the optimal variant is selected, for which a detailed structural design of the working system is developed, including the necessary calculations. The thesis also includes the design of linear motion axes, including the sizing of ball screws and nuts. The remaining main components of the machine are designed in a general manner to meet the requirements of hybrid CNC systems. In the final part of the thesis, a technical and economic evaluation of the proposed hybrid CNC center is carried out, and recommendations for its further development are formulated.
