This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the preparation and characterization of facial masks with anti-age effects containing extracts from microalgae, cyanobacteria, and yeasts. The theoretical part is focused on skin aging, the antioxidant effects of biologically active compounds, and the possibilities of using microorganisms in the cosmetic industry. In particular, microalgae and yeasts were tested and their produced compounds with potentially protective and regenerative effects on the skin, such as antioxidants, pigments, enzymes, and other metabolites, are described. The cultivation of selected microorganisms, preparation of biomass and extracts, and their subsequent characterization is included in the experimental part. Antioxidant activity was determined using ABTS and DPPH methods, together with protease and lipase activity, pigment content, and SPF values. Significant antioxidant activity was confirmed especially in extracts containing pigments - mainly phycocyanin. Final facial masks showed higher antioxidant activity compared to the control mask without extracts, demonstrating that the added extracts significantly contribute to the antioxidant and protective properties of the mask. The highest SPF value was determined in the mask containing phycocyanin and an extract from Rhodotorula toruloides. The obtained results show the potential of microalgae, cyanobacteria, and yeasts as sources of biologically active compounds suitable for use in natural cosmetic products with anti-age effects.

Obhajoba proběhla podle následujícího schématu: prezentace student-vyjádření vedoucí/ho-oponentský posudek-reakce na posudek-diskuse s komisí. Studentka přednesla velmi dobrý výtah výsledků své bakalářské práce, zodpověděla dotazy oponentské i členů komise, reagovala na připomínky k bakalářské práci. V diskusi tak studentka prokázala velmi dobrou schopnost orientace v teoretických i praktických základech problematiky bakalářské práce. Komise, s uvážením hodnocení v posudku a vyjádření vedoucí/ho, zhodnotila její bakalářskou práci celkově jako velmi dobrou. Pekař: Jaký základ měla pleťová maska? Čím se stanovovalo SPF? Kozáková: Na jakém základě se volilo složení masky a poměry jednotlivých extraktů? Na jakém principu fungovalo síťování gelu? Enev: Lze porovnat hodnotu SPF s UV faktorem?
