The aim of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate and compare the level of ecodesign implementation in the Czech Republic and the European Union, focusing on the readiness of the Czech manufacturing sector for upcoming legislative changes. The main attention was paid to the analysis of the attitudes of Czech companies towards new EU regulations and the identification of barriers preventing deeper integration of sustainable principles into the product design phase. The theoretical part summarizes the principles of ecodesign, its historical development, and key pillars such as material selection, design for durability, and repairability. The thesis analyzes the current legislative framework in detail, especially the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and the introduction of the Digital Product Passport (DPP). The practical part focuses on a questionnaire survey conducted among Czech companies across industrial sectors and a subsequent comparative analysis of the obtained data with the results of the international Flash Eurobarometer 549 survey. The comparison was made with European sustainability leaders, specifically Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, and France. The results obtained confirm that Czech companies show a high degree of efficiency in waste minimization (75 %) and energy savings (65 %), but significantly lag behind in long-term strategic planning and the depth of professional understanding of the ecodesign concept. In conclusion, the thesis formulates strategic recommendations for the Czech manufacturing sector, including the transition to product modularity and the building of circular networks.

Studentka seznámila členy komise s náplní a cílem bakalářské práce. Dále byly přečteny posudky vedoucí a oponentky a byly zodpovězeny vznesené dotazy. Do diskuze se zapojili i další členové komise s těmito otázkami: doc. MVDr. H. Zlámalová Gargošová, Ph.D. – Jaké konkrétní otázky jste v dotazníku použila? Jaký typ otázek jste využila – otevřené, ano-ne,..? prof. Ing. J. Chýlková, CSc. – Podle jakého kritéria byly vybírány oslovené firmy? Jaký sektor byl v odpovědích nejvíce zastoupen? doc. Ing. Studentka prokázala velmi dobré odborné znalosti a schopnost samostatné prezentace dosažených výsledků.
