Abstract:

The aim of this master’s thesis is the design of a civic amenity building – a mountain
hotel with a restaurant located in the municipality of Bílá. The thesis also includes
the design of the building services systems and a detailed assessment of selected
construction details from the point of view of building thermal performance.
The first part of the thesis focuses on the architectural, layout, and structural design
of a two-storey building, which is functionally divided into a hotel and a restaurant.
The design is prepared at the level of documentation for a building permit. The
building is designed as a masonry structure founded on shallow foundations. The
external walls are considered in two variants using ceramic masonry units – with an
external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) or a ventilated façade. The
building is covered by a pitched double-skin roof. This part also includes building
physics calculations, including the preparation of the building energy performance
certificate, according to which the building is classified as an exceptionally energy-
efficient building.
The second part of the thesis deals with the design of the building services systems
with a focus on energy efficiency and reliable operation. The design includes a
heating and cooling system using ground-source heat pumps, which use renewable
energy. Ventilation units with heat recovery are also proposed to ensure controlled
ventilation and to improve indoor air quality. The building services design further
addresses rainwater management and the use of energy-efficient LED lighting.
Photovoltaic panels are proposed on the roof to reduce energy consumption and to
increase the energy self-sufficiency of the building. The design of the building
services systems is coordinated with the architectural and structural design.
Third part of the thesis focuses on the assessment of selected critical details of the
building envelope; corners and junctions of external walls, window reveals, lintels
and sills, plinths, wall plates, and balcony connection, their impact on heat losses
and indoor thermal comfort. The selected construction details were analyzed using
two-dimensional numerical simulations in DEKSOFT – 2D tepelná technika software.
The simulations enabled the determination of temperature distributions, heat fluxes,
the internal surface temperature factor, and the linear thermal transmittance
values. The obtained results were compared with the required and recommended
values specified in ČSN 73 0540-2 standard. Based on this evaluation, the suitability
of the proposed details was assessed with respect to compliance with standardized
limits, minimization of the risk of surface condensation, and ensuring adequate
thermal protection of the building envelope. The results show that all requirements
were met.

Proč zde není umístěn alespoň jeden pokoj s bezbariérovou koupelnou a záchodem? Jak bude omezen tepelný most v tomto místě? A stejný problém v tomto místě? Není vhodnější řešení a dodržení doporučené hodnoty lineárního činitele?
