Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the design and assessment of selected elements of the load-bearing
system of a prefabricated reinforced concrete industrial hall. It concerns a single-story
industrial building with a rectangular floor plan, roofed with a combination of non
prestressed trusses and beams. Internal forces were calculated using the finite element
method in SCIA Engineer. The individual elements were further assessed for ultimate and
serviceability limit states using SCIA Engineer and IDEA StatiCa, with the accuracy of the
results verified by hand calculations. The thesis also includes the assessment of selected
elements during the fabrication and assembly stages. The drawing documentation
contains designs of the shapes and reinforcement of the structural elements. All designs
were prepared in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
