Abstract:

This thesis compares two aeration systems at the Kyjov wastewater treatment plant operated in two parallel activated sludge tanks. One tank is equipped with a FUCHS combined system (surface aeration with mixing), while the other tank uses conventional fine-bubble diffused aeration with air supplied from the blower station. The evaluation is based on routine water-quality monitoring at several sampling profiles for the following parameters: chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and total phosphorus. The results are statistically processed and compared for the periods before and after the installation of a separating wall between the tanks. The thesis also assesses the energy demand of both lines based on electricity consumption of selected equipment. The conclusions provide a basis for operational optimisation and follow-up testing within an innovation voucher project.

V úvodu státní závěrečné zkoušky student stručně a věcně představil hlavní teze své diplomové práce. Následně byly přečteny posudky vedoucího práce a oponenta. Student se vyjádřil k připomínkám uvedeným v posudcích a na položené otázky reagoval věcně a srozumitelně. Diskuse k diplomové práci se soustředila na téma výběru metody měření. Poté na vysvětlení pojmu "BAT". Proces míchání během denitrifikace. Parametry řízení v aktivačních nádržích. Student reagoval výborně.
