Abstract:

The subject of the master’s thesis is the preparation of design documentation for a new crematorium with a funeral hall. The building is designed as a two-storey structure. The terrain is slightly sloping. The load-bearing structural system is a wall system, composed of load-bearing walls made of ceramic blocks. The walls of the funeral hall are made of reinforced concrete. The building is founded on strip foundations made of plain concrete. The roof is a flat vegetative roof with extensive vegetation. The roof above the funeral hall is a sloped shed roof with thermal insulation above the rafters. The building envelope is insulated using a ventilated façade.

On the first floor are the crematorium facilities, the funeral hall, and spaces directly related to its operation, as well as staff areas, technical rooms, and supplementary facilities, including a flower shop. The second floor is primarily dedicated to administrative and operational spaces intended for crematorium staff.

The master’s thesis includes design documentation for the construction of the building.
