The bachelor’s thesis focuses on design of a single-family house located in Brno-Chrlice.
The thesis has two parts. The first one focuses on architectural and structural design for a documentation for building permit and building physics assessment and assessment for fire resistance. The second one focuses on building services concept design of ventilation and heating system and electrical installations and a detailed documentation of sanitary installations and rainwater management design.
It is a two-storey house with no basement covered by flat green roof. On the ground floor, there is a utility room, a bathroom, a closet and a living room connected to the kitchen with a separate pantry. On the first floor, there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a closet, a study, a bathroom, a toilet and two children’s bedrooms.
The foundations are formed by a cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab based on a gravel base and thermal insulation boards made of extruded polystyrene. The vertical load-bearing structures are masonry and made of sand-lime blocks insulated with expanded polystyrene by contact insulation system ETICS. The horizontal load-bearing structures of the floor slab and roof are made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete.
In the house is installated mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. For the heating system is used floor heating with an air-water heat pump as the main heat source. Living room can be additionally heated from the stove. Domestic hot water is heated by solar thermal panels. Rainwater collected from the roof and shelters will be used for watering the garden. The excess water will be infiltrated in the underground soaking device. The energy performance certificate was calculated and is attached to the thesis.
